Zephyr is a material-inspired icon pack for Android. Crafted with a rich, yet professional color palette, this icon pack brings consistency and enjoyable iconography to custom Android home screens. By using drop shadows exclusively, a layered effect is created, isolating each and every detail. In addition to 1000+ custom app icons, Zephyr includes a beautiful set of wallpapers to complete your home screen setup.
On Android, personalization is king. With custom launchers, users can customize the every detail of their home screen experience, including custom animations, fonts, layouts and icons. Zephyr works with all of the most popular custom launchers, plus more. With compatibility for 21 launchers, simply click the Apply button within the app to set Zephyr as the default icon set for your favorite custom launcher.

Process
Early Iterations
As a new Android user, I loved that I had the ability to customize my device to the fullest. After personalizing my homescreen with beautiful material icons, I was inspired to create an icon set of my own. Starting with the Google material design color palette, I set out to create a collection of icons with a consistent color palette and depth effect.
Design Decisions
The main user goals for an icon pack app are to view icons and set icons as the theme for a custom launcher. With this in mind, creating an account and storing user data is not neccesary. I created a categorization system within the app to further improve the user experience, enabling users view all of the different icons provided for each type of application.
Publishing on Google Play
Within two weeks of release, Zephyr reached the Top 10 for Paid Apps in the Personalization category on Google Play. Two years after the initial release, I released an updated version of the app with a simpler interface and lots of updated graphics. Zephyr now has over 15,000 installs on Google Play and 4.5 / 5 stars average rating.
